Make Your Own Protein Bars At Home
Dry Ingredients:
2 Cups Protein powder (vanilla or chocolate works best)
1 Cup of Dried Oats
Sticky Ingredients:
1 ¾ Cups nut butter or your choice (peanut, almond, cashew)
1 1/3 Cups Natural Sweetener (honey, maple syrup, agave)
Extras:
Chia seed, nuts, dried fruit, rice cereal
Directions: Mike together the dry ingredients and set aside. Heat sticky ingredients in microwave for 10 seconds to make it easier to stir. Combine sticky ingredients until well mixed. If adding extras, place in sticky ingredients now. Once well mixed, combine the dry and sticky ingredients. You may need to add a tablespoon of water if the mixture is not mixing well. Conversely if the mixture is too wet then you may need to add a little more of the dry ingredients. Once mixed, place mixture in a square sized pan and chill overnight.
Makes about 20 square sized bars
